Description
Flexroute® is a patented, flexible TPV cable clamp designed to be used with a cable tie to create a cushioned routing point for fully insulated wire and cable, hose and tubing. It is intended for cable-management locations where use of a cable tie by itself would otherwise be appropriate. When properly selected and installed, Flexroute® helps position and separate serviceable lines at the routing point.
Flexroute® is a general-purpose routing accessory. It installs around lines that are already routed and connected, allowing an additional routing point to be added without disconnecting the line or disassembling the system. Follow all equipment-manufacturer requirements, codes and regulations applicable to the underlying system.
Flexroute® is made in the USA.
Installation
Position Flexroute® around the routed line, pass a compatible cable tie through the clamp channel and around the mounting surface, and secure the tie in accordance with the cable-tie manufacturer’s instructions.
Use a cable tie appropriate for the application and installation conditions. Any specification or rating associated with the cable tie applies to the tie only and does not establish a corresponding rating for the Flexroute® clamp or complete installation.
After installation, confirm that the locking head is fully engaged, the tie remains secure, the routed line is not pinched or damaged, and all required supports, restraints, clearances, heat shielding and retention hardware remain in place. If the tie loosens, does not remain secured or damages the routed line, do not use the installation.
Available Sizes
Flexroute® is available in multiple sizes.
Select a size that fits the outside diameter, shape and construction of the routed line without forcing, pinching, deforming or damaging the line, clamp or cable tie.
Important Use Information
Not load-bearing: Not for lifting, suspension, structural support, cargo restraint or any weight-bearing use.
Safety-critical systems: Flexroute® is a supplemental routing accessory. Do not use it as, or in place of, any equipment-manufacturer-required support, restraint, retention device, fitting, routing, clearance, heat shield or safety barrier. The installation must remain safe if the Flexroute® clamp or cable tie fails.
Electrical: Use only with fully insulated wire or cable. Flexroute® does not provide electrical insulation or electrical protection.
Serviceable lines only: Do not use Flexroute® to repair, reinforce or compensate for damaged or unserviceable wire, cable, hose or tubing.
Ratings and testing: Do not infer a load, temperature, chemical-compatibility, environmental-exposure or other performance rating unless Hawken Components expressly provides that rating for Flexroute®.
Inspection: Inspect the Flexroute® clamp, cable tie and routed line before installation, periodically during use, and after service or an event that could affect the installation. Replace any component showing visible damage, deterioration, loosening or loss of secure retention.
Application photographs: Customer or real-world installations illustrate possible routing locations only. They do not certify or establish the safety of a particular installation.
